Independence day of India celebrated
ISLAMABAD: Director General South Asia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Ilyas Mehmood Nizami, Charge d Affaires of the Indian High Commission Dr. Suresh Kumar and Heads of Missions of the SAARC countries cutting the cake on the occasion of 77th Independence Day of India.
A large number of guests hailing from various walks of life attended the reception. The US and British envoys were also conspicuous with their presence.
The guests were served with traditional Indian and Pakistani cuisines. The appointment of the caretaker prime minister was the hot topic discussed by every one. Like Pakistanis, even the diplomats were not expecting the name of Anwarul Haq kakar as the caretaker prime minister.
